Statewide student art exhibitions, masterclasses, and workshops for student solo artists and small ensembles from Maryland schools. Students present their artwork in music, theatre, dance, visual arts, and media arts throughout the day in world class performance spaces of the Mount Vernon neighborhood in Baltimore City.

rotating statewide arts exhibitions

Student artwork is collected from all 24 local school systems annually to rotate around the state in the following exciting exhibition spaces: Maryland First Lady’s Gallery, Maryland’s Treasury Exhibit, Baltimore Street Gallery, Maryland State Arts Council, and in the MSDE HQ’s Board Room.

Artwork submission information

All artwork is submitted through the local school system’s Fine Arts Supervisor/s during the annual Fall Fine Arts Briefing. All artwork must be matted 22” by 28” (either horizontal or vertical) with the MSDE Art Work Release Form taped to the back. Work that is not matted to the correct size or with an incomplete Release Form will not be exhibited. Each Piece MUST contain a label on the bottom right that includes title, medium, artist, grade, school and district.
